Trust me--one of the best places to eat in the FtMeyers/Sanibel area. We were a group of 10 staying in the Condos that share the property with the Marriott. We had 4 days of lunch, pool carry-outs and deserts at the place. To me, this is the only place that i was at that was clean, understood the restaurant hospitality value proposition, and cared about what they were doing. Food is much higher quality for the same price as any of the touristic spots. Excellent service at comparable prices. Not exactly what you would expect. Good Job all around

My wife and I had a very pleasant experience at Tarpon House. This restaurant is the "middle of the road" restaurant at this resort. The steakhouse is the "high end" and the pizza place is the "low end" as far as pricing is concerned. The restaurant has outdoor and indoor seating and also doubles as the breakfast area for the Marriott. The fish specials were excellent. I had the grouper and my wife had the scallops. Both were delicious and perfectly cooked. The service was also outstanding...I think we were one of two groups in the restaurant since it was pretty late so I may be biased, however our waiter was very knowledgeable and helped us with our wine selection. He was quick to check on us after our first few bites and knew his job...I am always impressed when the wait staff memorizes the specials and takes pride in their job. Trust me, it will show in the tip!

Let's start with the service, five stars! Let's talk about Len and his staff, five stars! Let's talk about Daniel (Mr. Big Smile) the omelette chef, five stars! Need I say more??

Terrible service, high prices, and below average food. We waited over an hour for our food, the steak was not good quality and had little taste.

I'm having real trouble with this review folks. First the manager really pissed me off during my recent attempt to eat here. I've been here before, and really would have given the place a 4 but that one visit just didn't get out of my head. I walked away that night truly upset, but as many will attest I have some capacity for compassion (almost none for business owners) . I am an operations guy, thats my living, don't BS me like I'm a tourist. So, I went back for breakfast, the host and manager did an amazing job of making sure I was happy....that matters! High marks for customer service....then it took 10 minutes to get a waiter....every time I wanted one I had to ask someone.... Did I mention the food is pretty good....go for the breakfast buffet....bring your wallet! Sit outside, assuming you can get a table, and enjoy the wonderful view. And let's not forget all the kids you'lll find here, eating with their parents...sometimes it feets like a school cafeteria. So with all the choices in the area, they are catering to the lazy, and charging you for it. It's only money right? Setting the world straight ... one slap at a time.
